No rambling. No false starts. He did what he always does\u2013he outworked everyone else. It must have taken weeks to write, rehearse and edit this performance. And then he intentionally added a layer of awards-show stiffness to make it seem real.<\/p>\n<p>Beyond this, unlike most speeches of its kind, it\u2019s all about the people in the room, not the winner. <\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s not that different from the extraordinary performance I linked to yesterday, from Dani Daortiz, the world\u2019s greatest living card magician.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\">\n<p>\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Dani DaOrtiz at Fool US 2022 (the act that Penn and Teller didn\u2019t even try to figure out.)\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/5_KcQt0z-eE?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/p>\n<\/figure>\n<p>Dani practiced 100 hours for every minute of this apparently impromptu performance.
