annoying\u2026 you need to be selfless from time to time.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>That is not to say you should become a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.developgoodhabits.com\/people-pleaser\/\">people-pleasing pushover<\/a> and always put your thoughts and ideas on the backburner.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>And you certainly don\u2019t want to try and be everyone\u2019s best friend by being overly agreeable.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>But it is meant to create pause before you speak and act.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>For instance, if you give your husband a hard time whenever he wants to go out for a beer with his friends and leave you home with the kids\u2026 he will likely find it annoying and perhaps even resent you.<\/p>\n<p>Conversely, if you come to an agreement to each spend a few hours apart each month\u2026 you\u2019ll now be seen as the cool and understanding wife.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>As a bonus, you\u2019ll get yourself some of that \u201cme time\u201d that is so important\u2026 whether it\u2019s a massage for yourself or lunch out with a girlfriend.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Selflessness and compromise go a long way when you\u2019re trying to be less annoying.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Pick your annoying.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The fact of that matter is, most of us don\u2019t realize we are being annoying\u2026 until someone painfully points it out. That or else we start to see them distancing themselves from us.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Neither is good.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The best thing you can do is this.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>First, acknowledge that you are not perfect.
