You change your career path and you change the vehicle you drive to match your lifestyle but, the hardest kind of change is the one that happens within yourself. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">There might be aspects of your personality and inner-self that you feel you need work on.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">Maybe others have referred to you as selfish, cold or negative and you have decided it is time for a change. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">They are all traits that no one likes to admit to, which is why it is so hard to better yourself in these areas. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">This article will touch on some of these personality traits and share ways that you can proactively change your behavior to become a better person.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">It can be easy to get caught up in your own wants and needs and not realize how you might be affecting those around you. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">Ignoring others needs to put your own first is selfish. You might have unintentionally hurt someone with your selfish behavior and now feel bad about it. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">Selfishness might bring you a feeling of immediate gratification, but knowing that you hurt others will bother you deep down later on.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">Luckily, you can fix this to become more of a team player. Before doing things consciously think about how your decisions will effect other people that might be involved. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">Taking other peoples needs and desires into consideration can actually be quite rewarding and sometimes beneficial to you.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-111\" src=\"http:\/\/parmaks.com\/PersonalDevelopment\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/01\/Becoming-A-Better-Person.jpg\" alt=\"Becoming A Better Person Through Personal Development\" width=\"800\" height=\"533\" srcset=\"https:\/\/parmaks.com\/PersonalDevelopment\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/01\/Becoming-A-Better-Person.jpg 800w, https:\/\/parmaks.com\/PersonalDevelopment\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/01\/Becoming-A-Better-Person-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/parmaks.com\/PersonalDevelopment\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/01\/Becoming-A-Better-Person-768x512.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px\" \/><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">One of the hardest things for people to do is admit when they are wrong. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">It is important that you always take responsibility for your actions, because this says a lot about your character. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">When someone is ashamed or upset at themselves they tend to try to lay the blame on others.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">If you find that you are often blaming others for your own faults, then it is time to take a step back and reevaluate how you react to situations. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">When something does not go right in your life, take a moment to really look hard at the situation before you go placing the blame on anyone else. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">When you are not afraid to admit your shortcomings you will be much better off to handle situations that life will throw at you down the road.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">If you notice that people usually do not react warmly to you or strangers never approach you, it might be time to take a step back and take another look at yourself. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">Some people don&#8217;t realize that they come across as arrogant, unapproachable, negative or any other number of undesirable personality traits.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">Recognizing that you are displaying one or some of these traits is the first step to fixing it. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">Ask people what they honestly think of you, no hurt feelings. This can help you to pinpoint certain areas to work on. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">If they say you are unapproachable, then you can work at softening your facial expressions and using more open body behavior as opposed to scowling with your arms crossed.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">Personal development is most successful when you recognize what it is that you need to change. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">It is never fun to look at the not so pleasant aspects of your personality, but hopefully now you can make the changes you need to become a better person.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>You go through a lot of changes in life.
