{"id":42,"date":"2017-11-08T08:59:57","date_gmt":"2017-11-08T13:59:57","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/localhost\/perdev\/?p=42"},"modified":"2019-05-25T09:01:34","modified_gmt":"2019-05-25T14:01:34","slug":"developing-a-sense-of-peace-and-well-being","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/parmaks.com\/PersonalDevelopment\/developing-a-sense-of-peace-and-well-being\/","title":{"rendered":"Developing a Sense of Peace and Well-being"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">Do you feel really and truly fulfilled with your life? <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">Hopefully, the answer is &#8216;yes&#8217;, but if you are like many of us, it sadly might be &#8216;not always&#8217; or even &#8216;no.&#8217; <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">If you feel that your life has gone off track, there are steps you can take to feel more centered in your day-to-day activities.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">Do you often find yourself trying frantically to please everyone in your life, only to feel that you are failing to tend to your own mental health in the process? <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">It is only natural to want to make those around us happy, but when we do it at the expense of our own well-being, being a people pleaser can become problematic.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">Practice saying no when you feel overwhelmed &#8211; this may be one of the best gifts you can give yourself. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">If saying no is too difficult, try saying something like &#8220;let me think about that and get back to you on it&#8221; &#8211; often, giving yourself a little space can help you truly evaluate if this is something that you can take on at this point in your life.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">It can be very easy to let your work problems spill over into your personal life. Just thirty short minutes of exercise a day several times a week can have tremendous benefits for your mental health. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">Grab a buddy or family member and take a walk around the neighborhood, or take your dog for a nice hike at a local park. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">Your local rec center additionally likely offers a variety of fitness classes that you might enjoy. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">You will find that you manage stress better and can sleep better at night if you start a regular exercise program.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">You can indeed take simple, basic steps towards having a happier, healthier life. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">If you take the time to develop an inner sense of peace and well-being, you will see the effects spill over into all areas of your life. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">This is the only life you have got to live &#8211; make the most of it!<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Do you feel really and truly fulfilled with your life?
