Years ago, my friend Alwyn Cosgrove, best-selling author and world-famous fitness guru, taught me the principle of Exponential Learning.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cCreeeg,\u201d he said in his Scottish accent, \u201cyou must always be learning from experts who are learning. When you learn from others who are learning, you learn exponentially. \u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

I recently uncovered an opportunity to apply this principle of exponential acceleration to another area of life\u2014personal development. I call it Exponential Evolution, and it goes like this:<\/span><\/p>\n

You must always be spending time with other people who are undergoing personal growth and evolution. When you do, you will grow and develop faster than you would on your own.<\/i><\/span><\/p>\n

Take my friendships with Bedros Keuilian, Joel Marion, Isabel Price, Jay Ferruggia, Carrie Wilkerson, Matt Smith, and Vince Delmonte. <\/span><\/p>\n

Each of these high-performers spends over an hour per day reading, listening to podcasts, and in deep conversation with other high-achievers. They are not satisfied. They set the bar high for themselves and everyone around them. Plus, as teachers, they grow and develop as much\u2014if not more\u2014than their students.<\/span><\/p>\n

In the past year, I\u2019ve spent more time in Exponential Evolution than ever before, teaching three to four workshops per month. It\u2019s been a privilege to help hundreds of high-achievers like YOU turn big, beautiful ideas into reality while also learning from\u2014and growing with\u2014them.<\/span><\/p>\n

But don\u2019t be fooled; Exponential Evolution isn\u2019t passive. This growth requires investment. Success requires sacrifice.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cThe difference between entrepreneurs who go really big at something,\u201d says my friend, Ben Hardy, \u201cand those who don\u2019t is that the former invest in the right things at the right time and in the right relationships.\u201d The latter never (or seldom) invest because they don\u2019t like risk.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cWhatever it is you want to do, you probably need to invest in it more. If you want to get better at it, you need to become more committed and emotional about it. That is where the investment happens.\u201d <\/span><\/p>\n

How are you investing in yourself? Are you spending your time, energy, and money on commitment to the right areas of growth? Are you working your inner game as much as you are working in your business?<\/span><\/p>\n

Here\u2019s why that\u2019s an important question to ask:<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cThe inner game is the most important thing in the world,\u201d<\/i> says NY Times best-selling author, Neil Strauss.<\/span><\/p>\n

It\u2019s the secret to everything, he affirms: happiness, confidence, love, success, wealth. Locking down your inner game is the key to completely changing your life.<\/p>\n

How ironic, then, that many high-performers hit walls in their inner game growth\u2014especially those, like me, who came from modest means. We doubt if we deserve it.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cWho am I to command a leadership role, to land a happy relationship, to help others succeed?\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

You are YOU, that\u2019s who!<\/i><\/b> (Say it like Dr. Seuss.) <\/span><\/p>\n

Release the guilt, the fear, the doubt, the unworthiness, and get rid of the handcuffs holding you back. It\u2019s time to do what really matters to you.<\/span><\/p>\n

Because this is your truth: You were not put here on this earth to drain your energy entirely on others, to wait in line at the store, or to do the dishes when you\u2019re exhausted from a day of building eight-figure empires and raising well-adjusted children.<\/span><\/p>\n

It\u2019s time for you to fully immerse yourself in a leadership role, to step away from $10-an-hour tasks, and to become the Oprah of your business. Next time you are tempted to do unnecessary chores, ask yourself, \u201cWhat would Oprah do?\u201d <\/i>She would delegate smaller tasks and get back to building her empire. That\u2019s where she inspires hundreds of millions of people every year. And it\u2019s where you can, too.<\/span><\/p>\n

Don\u2019t let the minor overwhelm the major.<\/span><\/p>\n

Put another way, in the words of motivational speaker Les Brown\u2026<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cThe\u00a0graveyard\u00a0is the richest place on earth, because it is here that you will find all the hopes and dreams that were never fulfilled.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Ouch. This quote hits you right in the heart. And it\u2019s undeniably true; in a recent ETR survey, many of my readers admitted they feared going to their grave without making an impact\u2026 and that they also had huge dreams in their hearts but didn\u2019t know how to even begin achieving them.<\/span><\/p>\n

But I decided that enough was enough and decided to change my inner game. I set out to purge the chaos of my days, to add structure and discipline to my life. And then, as if almost by magic, my life changed. Money came quickly. Success came more easily. Relationships flourished. <\/span><\/p>\n

This isn\u2019t a fairytale, and I\u2019m not an exception to the rule. I am the rule.<\/span><\/p>\n
