When I was a teenager, I used to steal things and a couple of times we went with my friend to some people\u2019s home without a permission. From there we took some small things (alcohol etc.), nothing expensive though. Now I\u2019m 29 years old and every now and then that burden from my history comes in to my mind. I made a decision to send letters to couple of places, from where I stole, to apologise and ask if I can pay back the damage I made. The problem is that many of those firms don\u2019t exist anymore. How can I make even with my past in this kind of a situation and continue my life without that burden? I think the guilt might be a one thing that has made it difficult to succeed in my life.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n

If you can\u2019t reimburse those from whom you took from, then you can donate to a charity or someone who is needy, with the specific intention and feeling that you are making amends for your past transgression. But the main issue is in forgiving yourself for your immature actions when you were young. Let your loving, compassionate feelings and actions as an adult be your true atonement. Then you can relax and move forward, Nature will work out the rest of the details.<\/p>\n
