I know I have and this is why I encourage you to have a summer bucket list. By checking items off of it, you can <strong>stop worrying about missing out and start living more<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Plus, you can ask a family member or friend to join you\u2026 which can make it all the more rewarding an experience. In this post, I&#8217;ve put together a <strong>fun summer bucket list filled with indoor and outdoor activities.<\/strong><\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-what-is-a-bucket-list\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"What_is_a_Bucket_List\"\/>What is a Bucket List?<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"\/><\/h2>\n<p><strong>A bucket list is a list of achievements or experiences a person\u00a0would like to do\u00a0in a lifetime but hasn&#8217;t tried yet.<\/strong> Although bucket lists and goals are similar in many ways, the two are also different. For one, <strong>bucket lists put a time limit on what a person would like to achieve, while goals are personal aims usually meant for future achievement<\/strong>.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Further, <strong>there are several advantages to creating a summer bucket list.<\/strong> For instance, this can give someone more <strong>opportunities for family time since school is out<\/strong>, there are <strong>longer days<\/strong> and the <strong>temperatures are\u00a0warmer<\/strong>. Besides this, doing <strong>healthy activities can be a lot more meaningful<\/strong>\u00a0than browsing social media, watching television, or sleeping all day.\u00a0<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-summer-bucket-list-ideas\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Summer_Bucket_List_Ideas\"\/>Summer Bucket List Ideas<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"\/><\/h2>\n<p>When summer arrives, it can be fun to get involved in summer bucket list activities. You can do plenty of these alone or invite a friend along. After all, friends can make every experience better! <strong>This list is full of interesting ways to spend your summer<\/strong>, which can be especially helpful if you&#8217;re bored at home and need something to do\u2026 or would like ideas about\u00a0what to try next.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>1. Build a Sandcastle<\/p>\n<p>2. Attend an Outdoor Concert<\/p>\n<p>Check if your community offers a free summer outdoor concert series.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>3. Learn to Juggle<\/p>\n<p>Juggling can be unexpectedly easy to learn.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>4. Read a Summer-Inspired\u00a0Book<\/p>\n<p>5. Fly a Kite<\/p>\n<p>6. Rent a Kayak or Canoe<\/p>\n<p>7. Create Chalk Art<\/p>\n<p>Being a child isn&#8217;t necessary for\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.webmd.com\/depression\/depression-creative-outlets\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" data-lasso-id=\"42106\">getting creative<\/a>. Try Volunteering<\/p>\n<p>Volunteering can enhance\u00a0social skills, increase sense of purpose, and boost self-esteem, among other things. You can volunteer online or in your area by joining a community garden, mentoring a child, helping out at a nearby animal shelter, or doing something else you enjoy.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>12. Plant a Butterfly Garden<\/p>\n<p>By planting flowers that attract butterflies, you can start creating a splendid butterfly garden at home. This can be beneficial to the environment and insects everywhere.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>13. Put on a Puppet Show<\/p>\n<p>You can put on a puppet show for your own kids or just enjoy the process of making unique puppets. And, with the arts &amp; crafts\u00a0skills you&#8217;ve gained, maybe someone will pay you to put on a puppet show in the future. For one, some video games, such as Just Dance and Wii Fit,\u00a0allow a person to move around and get exercise.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>21. Open a Lemonade Stand<\/p>\n<p>This can be a great activity to do with children or if you need an amusing way to earn a bit of extra cash.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>25. Draw or Color<\/p>\n<p>You can find plenty of adult coloring books to get <a href=\"https:\/\/www.developgoodhabits.com\/creativity-quotes\/\" data-lasso-id=\"42110\">creative<\/a> with. In my free time, I love drawing and I create my own coloring pages to color.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>26. Head to a Museum<\/p>\n<p>Free museums exist for children and adults.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>27. Make a Pizza<\/p>\n<p>Pizzas can be surprisingly easy to make. Do Random Acts of Kindness<\/p>\n<p>Since <a href=\"https:\/\/www.developgoodhabits.com\/random-acts-of-kindness-ideas\/\" data-lasso-id=\"42111\">being kind<\/a> is its own reward, you don&#8217;t have to worry about what you&#8217;ll gain from it. Random acts of kindness to try are feeding a stray dog, baking cookies for the elderly, giving someone an unexpected compliment, or leaving a nice note in a book at a library.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>36. Create a Summer Playlist<\/p>\n<p>When I need something to distract myself, I turn on my favorite tunes. The songs you put on your playlist can relate to\u00a0summertime or just make you happy in some way.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>37. Ride a Roller Coaster<\/p>\n<p>38. Bake a Homemade Fruit Pie<\/p>\n<p>You don&#8217;t have to be a baker to bake a mouthwatering fruit\u00a0pie. Just follow the directions and, with a little patience and practice, you&#8217;ll get there. I know this from personal experience because I&#8217;m no baker myself.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>39. Watch a Baseball Game<\/p>\n<p>40. Do a Jigsaw Puzzle<\/p>\n<p>41. Try\u00a0Surfing<\/p>\n<p>42. Build a Treehouse<\/p>\n<p>43. Play an Outdoor Game<\/p>\n<p>You can have fun in the sun and exercise your brain. Spikeball, cornhole, yard Jenga, and ring toss are examples of outdoor games.<\/p>\n<p>44. Go Camping<\/p>\n<p>45. Try Scuba Diving or Snorkeling<\/p>\n<p>46. Run\u00a0a Marathon<\/p>\n<p>47. Develop a Good Habit<\/p>\n<p>This idea is more meaningful than anything. But this doesn&#8217;t mean it&#8217;s not worth doing. For one, waking up early can be a particularly good habit, since doing so can lengthen each day and your summer fun.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>48. Go Skating<\/p>\n<p>Ice skating, roller skating, and rollerblading can provide you with hours of entertainment.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>49. Visit a Farmer&#8217;s Market<\/p>\n<p>I think one of the best ways to spend a day is to head to the farmer&#8217;s market and pick up fresh fruits and vegetables to eat later on. Go on a Scavenger Hunt<\/p>\n<p>Adults and children alike can participate in scavenger hunts at home or in the city.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>52. Donate to a Charity<\/p>\n<p>Giving to others can help you gain a sense of purpose and meaning. You can donate a couple of dollars or more to a charity you admire. This could be a charity that supports the environment, feeds hungry children, or gives animals\u00a0a chance to be adopted.<\/p>\n<p>Recently, I adopted the sweetest little black rabbit and I had to drive over 200 miles to go get the animal. It was one of the most meaningful experiences of my life.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>53. Have a Seasonal Outdoor Job<\/p>\n<p>Whether you need or want to earn additional income, having a summer job can be a fantastic way to spend the season. You might like being a fruit picker, high rope course instructor, or lifeguard. Alternatively, join a sailing or stage crew.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>57. Try a Slip \u2018N Slide<\/p>\n<p>58. Visit a Zoo or Animal Sanctuary<\/p>\n<p>No matter how old I get, I still love seeing animals at the zoo.\u00a0I could literally stay all day and never leave. I haven&#8217;t\u00a0been to an animal sanctuary but would like to visit one soon.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>61. Jump Rope or Hula Hoop<\/p>\n<p>62. Learn to Play a Musical Instrument<\/p>\n<p>Playing a musical instrument can be easy and exciting. You&#8217;ll have the chance to\u00a0feel like a real musician and maybe even become one.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>63. Grow an Herb Garden<\/p>\n<p>64. Play a Card Game<\/p>\n<p>There are card games for single or multiple players. You can play Solitaire or Memory when you&#8217;re alone or ask someone to join you for a game of Rummy, Hearts, or Canasta.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>65. Go Bird Watching<\/p>\n<p>66.
