It was as if my senses became attuned and I had a more heightened awareness of myself, others, and my environment.\u00a0<\/span><span id=\"more-56047\"\/><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Present-moment awareness puts us in an elevated state that lets us experience an expansiveness \u2014 as if we\u2019re breathing along with nature. There\u2019s no feeling of separateness. It reminds us that we\u2019re here in this moment of \u201cnow\u201d and there\u2019s no other moment than this one.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Each moment of our lives is an opportunity to learn something valuable about ourselves. But too often, we get caught up in regretful thoughts from the past or anxiety-producing worries about the future. We must remind ourselves that it\u2019s <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">this present moment<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> that matters. We\u2019re able to heighten our feelings of gratitude and compassion, and to more consciously value our lives through Mindfulness.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Below are some of the many ways a regular Mindfulness practice enhances your connection with yourself and the world around you:\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>Mindfulness diminishes your inner critic<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">When you practice Mindfulness, you stop being a harsh self-critic. Instead, you become a constructive advisor. Your internal voice that says \u201cI can\u2019t,\u201d or \u201cI\u2019ll never,\u201d quiets because your authentic self knows its own strengths and weaknesses without regarding them as inadequate. With Mindfulness, you let go of self-criticism and awaken to acceptance and peace.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">So often when you\u2019re caught up going from one moment to the next, you\u2019re doing what you think you\u2019re <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">supposed<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> to do, but feeling dissatisfied doing it. Take time to go inward and connect with your authentic self. It brings forth the realization that you are pure spirit, alive and full of light, inhabiting your physical body.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">You\u2019ll no longer live your life superficially, concerned only with who you\u2019re projecting out to the world, because it will no longer ring true. Once you uncover and connect to your authentic self, you won\u2019t let any moment go by without living it as truthfully as you can.<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>\u201cRealize deeply that the present moment is all you have. Make the NOW the primary focus of your life.\u201d \u2014 Eckhart Tolle<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<h2><b>Mindfulness helps you process pain<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">While your past may contain unpleasant or painful memories, they\u2019re a part of your life. How you process those painful experiences and what you continue to tell yourself about them makes the difference in how they affect you here in the present.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">But you can create a \u201cnew memory in present time.\u201d This involves mindfully navigating the present with neutrality and experiencing the past with acceptance. The neutrality doesn\u2019t deny or diminish your past, but creates a new perception of it that helps put distance between you and the unpleasant memory.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Choose to stay present and you no longer will become influenced by hurtful memories that arise. Know that anything that\u2019s happened to you in the past doesn\u2019t define who you are now.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">When you allow yourself to stop your busy-ness and devote time to connect to your authentic self, you experience a sense of non-separation, completeness, and wholeness. It reminds you that you\u2019re here in this moment of \u201cnow.\u201d\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">All this moment asks of you is to feel love and acceptance towards yourself and others. Becoming aware of yourself as a spiritual being helps you recognize that which is worthy, divine and holy within.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Start your Mindfulness practice with this meditation that connects you to the present moment.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>Meditation for Staying in the Moment<\/b><\/h2>\n<ol>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Find a quiet place to sit.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Close your eyes.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Feel yourself where you are right now.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Note any sounds, thoughts, feelings and bodily sensations.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Invite yourself to be present in your meditation.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Tell yourself it\u2019s okay to let everything go.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Focus your awareness on your breath.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Take a few deep breaths in and out.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> If your mind begins to wander at any time, bring your focus and awareness back to your breath, which will always bring you back to the present moment.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Say silently, \u201cI am in this moment of now.\u201d\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Say silently, \u201cNow is all there is.\u201d\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Say silently, \u201cI accept this moment I\u2019m in.\u201d\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Repeat this as many times as you wish.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> When you\u2019re ready, slowly open your eyes.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Be aware that you are still in the moment of \u201cnow,\u201d and that there\u2019s no need to rush out of it.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol><\/div>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/hop.clickbank.net\/?affiliate=infohatch&amp;vendor=J1R2C\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-10614 aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/parmaks.com\/Resources\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/profit-gen400px.png\" alt=\"Profit Gen\" width=\"400\" height=\"217\" srcset=\"https:\/\/parmaks.com\/Resources\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/profit-gen400px.png 400w, https:\/\/parmaks.com\/Resources\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/profit-gen400px-300x163.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 400px) 100vw, 400px\" \/><\/a><br \/><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>When I began practicing Mindfulness, I immediately experienced the gift of being much more present in my life.
