FTSE 100 Reaches Two-Month High<\/h2>\n

The FTSE 100<\/strong><\/em> has had a robust week, with gains pushing it to a two-month high<\/strong><\/em> after breaking higher at the end of last week. The record high<\/strong><\/em> is now within reach, maintaining the uptrend. A reversal below 8200<\/strong><\/em> would negate this outlook.<\/p>\n

S&P 500 Boosted by Fed Decision<\/h2>\n

The recent pullback from mid-July highs<\/strong><\/em> appears to have ended. Stabilizing around 5400<\/strong><\/em> this week, the index surged yesterday, supported by the Fed rate decision<\/strong><\/em> and the high likelihood of a September rate cut<\/strong><\/em>. The next target is the record highs of July<\/strong><\/em>.<\/p>\n

A reversal below 5450<\/strong><\/em> would negate the bullish outlook. Amazon<\/strong><\/em> and Apple<\/strong><\/em> earnings tonight may introduce more volatility.<\/p>\n

Nikkei 225 Falters<\/h2>\n

Despite a rebound following the Bank of Japan meeting<\/strong><\/em>, poor earnings from Toyota<\/strong><\/em> pushed the index downward. Currently, the index remains above the 200-day simple moving average (SMA)<\/strong><\/em>. If this level holds, a low may form.<\/p>\n

However, a close below the 200-day SMA<\/strong><\/em> would pave the way for a test of last week\u2019s lows and potentially the April lows below 37,000<\/strong><\/em>.<\/p>\n
