I\u2019m sure you\u2019ve experienced the pain of accidentally touching a hot stove. (Ouch!) Even though it was unintentional, and it hurt, you learned to be more cautious. However, there are times when you intentionally make choices that lead to difficulties \u2014 that\u2019s the nature of consequences. As the adage goes, \u201cYou made your bed; now lie in it.\u201d<\/p>\n

Once you\u2019ve made a choice, you\u2019re accountable for the outcome \u2014 whether it\u2019s positive or negative. Though it may seem obvious, why are people surprised when they\u2019re forced to accept the consequences of their actions?<\/p>\n

Consequences are not<\/em> something that happen to you; they are created by you.<\/p>\n
