This, too, shall pass. <\/em><\/p>\n<p>Try to be brave and give them what they want\u2026 a new outfit, a video game, a trip to the water park with two friends.<\/p>\n<p>The reward here may take a little more, which is ok.<\/p>\n<p>A good idea.<\/p>\n<p>Make them accountable.<\/p>\n<p>They must put in the hard work for the reward\u2026 otherwise, they may always expect things to be handed to them.<\/p>\n<p><em>And that would not end well for either of you.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>But don\u2019t fret.<\/p>\n<p>By the time your son or daughter is 16, they\u2019ve likely come back around.<\/p>\n<p>Sometimes, they may even view you as a friend and confident now.<\/p>\n<p>They value the sacrifices you\u2019ve made for them\u2026 your advice\u2026. your opinion.<\/p>\n<p>Helping is the least they can do.<\/p>\n<p>Still, it should be acknowledged.<\/p>\n<p>Popular rewards for teenagers may include:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>new hockey gear<\/li>\n<li>borrowing the family car for a night<\/li>\n<li>concert tickets<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The chore chart at this age is more about keeping them organized than accountable.<\/p>\n<p>Make it simple, but perhaps let them
