Response:

Bringing awareness from the state of meditation to a sensation in the body is bringing attention from the abstract, quiet level back to a focused, more active level where it is ready to resume the practical needs of daily life.

Even if we use effortless attention on the breath as a tool of meditation, it still serves to allow awareness to settle down and become unbounded and abstract.

When we end meditation, it is important to let awareness gently readjust to focused awareness and physical activity before we get up from meditation and resume our day.

Otherwise, if we come out too fast, we may feel a bit rough or irritable after meditation.

Love,

Deepak
