Our essential self is at one with the totality of life called Brahman. We are in union with God the way a drop of water is at one with the ocean, or a snowflake is at one with a field of snow. So the way our true self knows itself to be that one divine wholeness, it is more like Brahman than Jehovah, or a personalized aspect of God.
