“I am a young male and am in the process of making the important decision of what to do with my life.
I know of people who are unhappy with their jobs and unsatisfied with their lives, and I don’t want to be like that.
I have recently discarded all my previous plans for the simple reason that it did not feel right.
Some people tell me that this reasoning is stupid.
I am now starting all over again with a goal in mind that seems like it will forever stay a dream.
I do not know what path to follow to achieve this lifelong dream.
Can I rely on the universe to show me the path?
I know that we are supposed to live in the moment and not worry about the future, but does that mean that it is okay to not have any definite plan of action?
I feel lost and helpless all the time, and I do not know who to turn to.
I do not know what direction I should go in, so should I leave it to destiny?
Do we create our own destiny?

Response:
When considering the future, you don’t need to focus on the “right” decision or discover the activity that you will be happy with for the rest of your life.
Look at what interests you and feeds your growth as a person.
Now more than ever, people change jobs and careers many times in the course of their lives.
It’s enough to know yourself well enough to move toward what nourishes you at this period of your life.
The universe, as your higher self, will show you the present steps you need to take, all you need to do is be still enough to listen and see.
It is your true self that creates your destiny and links all the events in your life into supporting your life purpose.
The separate personal self with its willpower and desire contributes to that, but it is not the you that creates your destiny.
