The source of the universe is a non-local, self-interacting, unmanifest field of consciousness and energy. Our source, our self, is also a non-local field of pure consciousness and energy. We are the same as the universe at our source.
This is the principle behind the statement, but it doesn’t mean much until you are able to experience that identity within your own awareness. That experience is the real basis upon which the ancient seers declared, Aham Brahmasmi- I am the universe.
